Objective & Subjective, but always Respective of the Collective
Mitt has already apologized for this apathetic statement for the poor, but the fact that this is on video means it will be used against him in the general.

I wish @Gmail had an all inclusive anti-political filter feature available!
I’m tired of politicians and PAC’s emailing me why they think they’re awesome while everyone else sucks.
Worse, I haven’t signed up for ANY of their silly newsletters, yet they keep emailing me as of I was their greatest fan.
Yeah, I could create a filter for each one, but creating dozens of new filters every year for each national, state, and local campaign (not to mention PACs, political organizations and political endorsers) is not the answer.
If Google Voice can save me from annoying politicians, surely Gmail can do the same. At least I hope they can. :-/
They may drag out the race with their PAC’s, but if Romney wins in SC their candidates may drop out.
Apparently he only likes “real Republicans” and blames his loss on a caucus full of…fake GOPers. (via the Blaze)
“This is a quirky place, a quirky process, to say the least, and we’re going to go into places where they have actual primaries and there are going to be real Republicans voting,” he told reporters. “Not that there aren’t real Republicans here in Iowa, but the fact is, it was a pretty loosey-goosey process, and you had a ton of people who were there that admitted they were Democrats voting in the caucuses last night.”As much as I like Perry due to his record, his sore loser man attitude sucks (and that’s putting it here mildly). If Perry only values GOPers then libertarians like me can always find another candidate to support in the upcoming primaries. He needs to be a little bit more humble especially as he campaigns in South Carolina (whose governor has endorsed Mitt Romney).
Came across this via Brian Dunbar’s blog. The fact that there isn’t massive outrage about this makes me wonder if America’s future will resemble Brave New World after all.
Even here, the focus is on the inconvenience associated with constitutional challenges to a policy of imprisoning people without charge or trial, as opposed to the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendment violations themselves. But in contrast with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and likeminded advocates of military detention, the Obama administration at least concedes that the powers affirmed by the NDAA raise “major statutory and constitutional questions.” Like Congress, which has shamefully evaded its legislative responsibilities by deliberately maintaining ambiguity about the president’s detention authority, Obama is content to let the courts sort things out, especially since he is certain that he will never abuse whatever power he has. Are there any lovers of liberty left in government?
Truth be told I never saw that coming! If that happens, you’ll see a lot of negative ads (courtesy of Romney) attacking Ron Paul as fringe.
All I can ask is “why?!”
An NBC News/Marist Poll poll released Sunday showed support for the former speaker of the House soaring in South Carolina and Florida, making Mr. Gingrich the distinct front-runner for those states’ late January primaries. His performance in the Saturday night debate in Des Moines suggests Mr. Gingrich also remains on stable footing with just over three weeks left before Iowa’s first-in-the-nation voting on Jan. 3. Is the GOP insane?! Newt might have superior debating skills than everyone running (Obama included) but the guy has enough political skeletons to fill up a grave yard!
Romney isn’t any better (my first choice is Perry, but his public gaffe’s make Joe Biden look good), but if Newt wins the nomination, then the world will have to endure another 4 years of Obamanomics. :-(
So as many of you know Herman Cain just suspended his campaign for presidency (which for the record I didn’t support due to his thin resume—thinner’s than even President Obama’s).
He still claims his innocence regarding the affair allegations.
Although I have my doubts about most of the women claiming him as their sugar daddy, his reaction to Ginger White’s accusation has been suspicious, especially after she provide phone records and text messages.
If Cain was innocent, then why suspend his campaign over blatant lies? Contrast this with Nikki Haley (governor of South Carolina) when she was accused of having multiple affairs.
Instead of simply denying the claims and attacking her accusers, she maintained her innocence and threatened to suspend her campaign if the allegations were true.
Guess what happened? Her accusers had no evidence, and she was vindicated in the public. She’s now governor today (with more enemies than ever).
Did Herman Cain have an affair? The world may never know. But the fact that he is ending his campaign over “lies” is suspicious to me, and after expressing doubt at the accusations I’m now wondering if any of them had any merit.
Is Herman Cain dropping out? I think so!
Letting Donald “the birther” Trump moderate the debate would be like the Democratic party letting Rosie “the truther” play moderator amongst progressives.
One candidate (Huntsman) has wisely declined, although the fact that the others are showing up makes the who field look hollow.
